The Church of the Archangel Michael in Săpânța-Peri, in the village of Săpânța, Maramureș region, Romania, is the tallest wooden church in the world. The tower of the monastery is visible from five kilometers across the Tisza River, and is admired by Romanians in the Transcarpathia region.
