Trinidad Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad is the largest and most populous island of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Located 11 km (6.8 mi) off the northeastern coast of Venezuela, the island lies on the South American continental shelf. It is the southernmost island of the Caribbean Sea. Its 2011 population was 1,267,145. The capital is Port of Spain, and the largest settlement is Chaguanas. The highest elevation is 940 m (3080 ft).
