Paoha Island is a volcanic island located in Mono Lake, an inland lake in California. It is one of two main islands in Mono Lake (the other being the smaller Negit Island located to its north-northwest). The island was formed by a series of eruptions in the 17th century. It is composed of lakebed sediments deposited on volcanic domes. | |
