Pinson is a community not under the jurisdiction of any local government, located in Madison County, Tennessee. Pinson is home to the Pinson Mounds, the largest group of Woodland-era Native American mounds in the United States, and Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park, dedicated to their study. The population of Pinson was 464 in 2020.
Pinson is located along U.S. Highway 45 between Jackson and Henderson, just north of the Chester County border, and the state Highway 197 also runs through the area.

The Pinson Mounds are a prehistoric Native American site located in Madison County, Tennessee, in the region known as the Eastern Forest. The complex comprises 17 mounds, a geometric earthworks, and several living areas, most likely constructed during the Middle Forest period (approximately 1-500 AD). The Pinson mounds are now part of the Pinson Mounds National Archaeological Park.
