| North Hwanghae is a province of North Korea. Its population was 2,113,672 in 2008. The provincial capital is Sariwon. North Hwanghae has many historical sites, including Kaesong, the former capital of the Koryo dynasty, which houses many famous historical artifacts. The province is also home to the tombs of several Koryo kings, most notably the tombs of King Taejo and King Kongmin. | |
