The Itsanitaq Museum houses one of the world's finest and oldest collections of Inuit carvings and artifacts, dating from the Pre-Dorset period (1700 BCE) through the Dorset, Thule, and modern Inuit periods. The Manitoba Heritage Council's stelae commemorate the presence of the Pre-Dorset and Dorset peoples who inhabited the area from 3000 to 1000 BCE.
This gift shop specializes in northern books, Canadian Inuit art, unique postcards, greeting cards, stationery, and local berry jams.
