| Crisp Point is one of five shore rescue stations of the United States Marine Rescue Service in the Lake Superior area, located between Munising and Whitefish Point. The station is approximately 14.5 miles west of Whitefish Point. It was built in 1875 and became operational in 1876 as Rescue Station Ten, part of the United States Marine Rescue Service's Area 10 (later merged into Area 11). | |
