Sea Ranch Chapel is a non-denominational sanctuary for prayer, meditation and spiritual renewal located on Hwy 1, Sea Ranch, California. The grounds surrounding the chapel as well as the structure itself were the gifts of Sea Ranch residents, Robert and Betty Buffum. Upon completion in December of 1985, the chapel was dedicated in memory of Kirk Ditzler, a navy aviator, zoologist, and artist.
Sonoma Mountain Zen Center is a Soto Zen practice center in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki-roshi, founded by abbot Jakusho Kwong-roshi. The temple is dedicated to the act of Zazen, "just sitting." The residency trains in a monastic schedule and hosts events and retreats for a wider community of spiritual practice.

Mission San Francisco Solano was the 21st, last and northernmost mission in Alta California. It was the only mission built in Alta California after Mexico gained independence from Spain. The mission was established by an overly eager padre acting without church approval. The Sonoma Mission is the only mission established during Mexican rule of Alta California.
