With its active Vietnamese American community and its many Vietnamese American-owned businesses, the Tenderloin in San Francisco has often been referred to as "Little Saigon." For part of the neighborhood, the name is now official.
In San Francisco, Russian speaking communities are mostly concentrated in the Richmond and Sunset districts along Geary St. That is also where the vast majority of Russian, ex-Soviet and European stores are, as well as Russian daycares and preschools. The Holy Virgin Cathedral, a Russian Orthodox church, is a focal point of what has come to be known as Little Russia in the Richmond District of San Francisco.
