| The Comoros is a small island nation located in the Indian Ocean, off the east coast of Africa. It is an archipelago comprising four main islands: Grande Comore, Mohéli, Anjouan, and Mayotte, the latter of which is an overseas department of France. The capital city is Moroni, located on Grande Comore. At 1,861 km2 (719 sq mi), the Comoros is the fourth-smallest African country by area. | |
