Khumbu Glacier, the world’s highest glacier and the largest glacier of Nepal stand at an elevation of 4,900m at its terminus and 7,600m at its source. It is a large debris-covered glacier which lies in between Mt Everest and Lhotse-Nuptse ridge in the Khumbu region. To the right side of the glacier, there is Everest Base Camp, where thousands of trekkers are lured to visit every year.
Sagarmatha National Park is a protected area in the Himalayas of eastern Nepal. It was established in 1976 and is renowned for its stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and being home to some of the world's highest peaks, including Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth.
Everest Base Camp refers to the starting point for those attempting to climb Mount Everest. There are two base camps: South Base Camp is in Nepal at an altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft), while North Base Camp is in Tibet at 5,150 metres (16,900 ft). For many trekkers, the South Base Camp trek is a popular and challenging adventure and can only be reached on foot.
Koshi Province is an autonomous province of Nepal. Koshi had a population of 4,961,412 in 2021 with the industrial city of Biratnagar as its capital. It covers an area of 25,905 km2 (10,002 sq mi), about 17.5% of the country's total area. The highest elevation (Mount Everest) is 8,848.86 m (29,031.69 ft) and the lowest elevation (Kechana Kawal) is 58 m (190 ft).
