| The house is known for its beautiful Georgian architecture and is said to be one of the most well-preserved great houses in Jamaica. It is also known for its ghost story, as it is said to be haunted by the ghost of Annie Palmer, also known as the "White Witch of Rose Hall." According to legend, Annie Palmer was a cruel plantation owner who murdered several husbands and slaves before she was herself killed by a slave uprising. Today, the Rose Hall Great House is open to the public and offers guided tours that provide insight into the house's history and the legend of Annie Palmer.
