| Empress Thua Thien (Thua Thien Cao Hoa ng Hau, 1762–1814), born Tong Phuc Thi Lan, was the first wife of Nguyen Phuc anh (future Emperor Gia Long) and mother of Crown Prince Nguyen Phuc Canh. The construction of the tomb began in 1848 during the reign of Emperor Thieu Tri and was completed in 1864. It covers an area of over 100,000 square meters and features arange of traditional Vietnamese architectural styles. Dien Gia Tha nh is divided into three main sections, each with its own gate, courtyard, and temple. The first section is the temple area, where the queen's worship is conducted. The second section is the tomb area, where the queen's remains are buried.
