Thung Nham Ecotourism Zone in Ninh Binh (Khu du lịch sinh thái Thung Nham) is a beautiful natural attraction located about 12 km west of Ninh Binh city in Hai Nham village, Hoa Lu district. It covers over 300 hectares and is part of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. Known for its pristine natural beauty, Thung Nham features a harmonious blend of tropical forests, limestone mountains, valleys, caves, and untouched flora.
The ecotourism zone boasts a vast bird garden, the largest natural bird sanctuary in northern Vietnam, home to around 150 species of birds including herons, storks, egrets, flamingos, and some rare species listed in the Red Book.

Visitors enjoy boat rides across wetlands while watching flocks of birds soar amid limestone landscapes. There is also a network of caves providing a "Tropical Symphony" experience and over 800 square meters of flower gardens with more than 30 flower species blooming year-round, earning it the nickname "The Four-Season Flower Garden."

Besides nature, Thung Nham integrates cultural and spiritual values, offering visitors diverse tourism activities like mountain climbing, orchard tours, cave exploration, and wildlife watching. It is easily accessible from Hanoi (about 100 km away) and Ninh Binh city and combines well with other nearby attractions such as Tam Coc - Bich Dong and Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, making it a popular travel destination for eco-tourism, cultural tourism, and leisure.
