Lewiston is a city located in Androscoggin County, in the state of Maine, United States. It is the second-largest city in the state, after Portland, and is situated along the Androscoggin River. The city is part of the Lewiston-Auburn metropolitan area, which includes the neighboring city of Auburn. Lewiston had a population of approximately 36,000 residents.
