| The temple was founded in the 1950s by Yuet Kai, a Buddhist monk who wanted to create a peaceful retreat for Buddhist practitioners. Visitors must climb a steep flight of stairs to reach the temple, which is located on a hilltop overlooking Sha Tin. Along the way, there are many life-size Buddha statues lining the path, each one different and adorned with unique clothing and accessories. The temple complex also includes several halls, pagodas, and a nine-story pagoda with a golden Buddha statue at the top. Inside the main hall, visitors can see a large seated Buddha statue and a display of Buddhist relics. The temple also has a vegetarian restaurant and a gift shop selling Buddhist souvenirs.
