The Temple of Jupiter was a colossal Roman temple, the largest in the entire Roman Empire, located within the Baalbek complex in Heliopolis, Syriaca (now Lebanon). The temple served as a prophetic site and was dedicated to Jupiter, Heliopolitanus. It was the largest temple dedicated to Jupiter in the entire Roman Empire.
The stone pillars are 19.9 meters high and nearly 2.5 meters in diameter: the largest in the ancient world. It took three centuries to build this colossal temple complex.
