Thạnh An commune is the only island commune in Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh City, isolated between the Thi Vai and Long Tau rivers, about 70-80 km from the city center. With an area of ​​over 131 km², the island commune comprises three hamlets (Thanh Hoa, Thanh Binh, and Thieng Lieng), renowned for its pristine beauty, simple lifestyle, salt production, fishing, and oyster farming.
