Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park is rich in natural, historical and cultural significance. Chatsworth is a neighborhood located in the northwestern region of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. It is bordered by the Santa Susana Mountains to the north, Porter Ranch to the east, Northridge to the south, and Canoga Park to the west. In 2008, the city estimated that the population had increased to 37,102.

The twenty three-acre Garden of the Gods park is perched in the northwest corner of Chatsworth. The park was once one of the most recognizable areas of the historic Iverson Movie Ranch—fabled to be the most photographed location ranch in movie history.

The Chatsworth Nature Preserve is a 1325acre open-space preserve located in the Northwest corner of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. The preserve contains oak woodlands, savanna, riparian areas, grassland, vernal pools, and an Ecology Pond, all of which support more than 200 bird species plus numerous mammals, amphibians and reptiles.
