Boulder Creek is a small rural mountain community in the coastal Santa Cruz Mountains. It is a census-designated place in Santa Cruz County, California, with a population of 5,429 as of the 2020 census. Throughout its history, Boulder Creek has been home to a logging town and a resort community, as well as a counter-culture haven.

Santa Cruz Mountains Viewpoint at Sempervirens Point Parking is the most accessible and truly a drive-up panoramic views in the mountains as it boasts the best view directly from the parking area. While you can walk down the Skyline to the Sea Trail in either direction to find one of their viewing benches.

Big Basin is California's oldest State Park, established in 1902. Home to the largest continuous stand of Ancient Coast Redwoods south of San Francisco. Elevations in the park vary from sea level to over 2,000 feet. The climate ranges from foggy and damp near the ocean to sunny, warm ridge tops.
