Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve is a 1,384-acre nature preserve managed by The Wildlands Conservancy protecting five miles of the Santa Margarita River in Fallbrook, California. The preserve provides 18 miles of hiking trails that are open daily free of charge.

Los Jilgueros is a beautiful 46 acre preserve near the heart of Fallbrook with a variety of looping trails totaling over 2 miles through field & riparian forest. Ponds, wetland areas, and groves of mature trees offer wonderful bird watching opportunities.

Fallbrook is a CDP in northern San Diego County, California. Fallbrook had a population of 30,534 at the 2010 census, up from 29,100 at the 2000 census. Most of the area is characterized by rolling hills covered in avocado and citrus orchards.

Margarita Lookout Tower is a man-made structure and generally used for observation.
