Salmon Creek Beach, where a lagoon forms as sand closes the mouth of Salmon Creek, is a popular summer destination. Nearly two miles of unbroken, scenic, sandy beach make this an excellent place for surf fishing, beachcombing, and picnicking.

Bodega Bay is a village and census-designated place in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 912 at the 2020 census. The town, located along State Route 1, is on the eastern side of Bodega Harbor, an inlet of Bodega Bay on the Pacific coast.

Wright's Beach Campground is situated at the edge of a pleasant sandy beach off Highway 1 in Sonoma Coast State Park, mid-way between Bodega Bay and Jenner. It has 27 campsites adjacent to the beach.

Doran Regional Park covers an area of 127acre. It is located at on the sand spit separating Bodega Harbor from Bodega Bay. The park features a wide, 2-mile stretch of sandy beach on Bodega Bay and is ideal for walking, picnicking, playing in the sand, flying kites, surfing, a boat launch, birdwatching and year-round camping. Other amenities include flush toilets and showers.

Duncan's Landing, also called Duncan's Cove and Duncan's Point, is famous for two things: as an early-day landing for loading small coastal ships with lumber and food products and for being the most dangerous point along the Sonoma Coast due to large and unpredictable surf.

Shell Beach is a favorite location for beachcombing and tidepooling. Stewards' School Group Tide Pool Education Program offers docent-led tour tidepool tours for schools as an outdoor classroom for the study of tidal pool marine life.

Bodega Head is a small promontory on the Pacific coast of northern California. The most prominent geological feature of Bodega Bay is Bodega Head, a peninsula that forms the the protective arm between the ocean and the bay.

Sonoma Coast State Park is a State of California property in Sonoma County consisting of public access use on lands adjoining the Pacific Ocean. The park is a beautiful place to visit and the experience you can have there will be better than any brief description can convey.
