| Since then they have grown into an approximately 100-acre organic avocado orchard where the Vasquez family all reside together. Originally they harvested organic avocados to supply the Vasquez family restaurants, they now supply organic markets as well as restaurants around the area. Rancho Vasquez is family farmed with over 3700 organic avocado trees. Some of the Fuerte trees are over a century old being planted in the mid- 1800s in one of the first avocado groves in Azusa, California because of the ideal climate, rich soil, and supply of fresh mountain water that flows from the Azusa Canyons. They grow 5 different varieties of avocados. Fuerte, Hass, Pinkerton, Lamb Hass, and Reed where all of the varieties offer a rich and delicious flavor. | |
