The River Rhône is one of the major rivers of Europe. It rises in the Swiss Alps, passes through Lake Geneva and then runs through south eastern France. At Arles, near its mouth on the Mediterranean Sea, the river divides into two branches, known as the Grand Rhône and the Petit Rhône. The resulting delta constitutes the Camargue region.

The Tagus is the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula. The Mekong River is one of the longest and most important rivers in Southeast Asia, flowing through six countries: China, Myanmar (Burma), Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. It originates in the Tibetan Plateau of China and travels approximately 4,350 kilometers (2,703 miles) before emptying into the South China Sea.

The Danube is the second-longest river in Europe, after the Volga in Russia. It flows through Central and Southeastern Europe, from the Black Forest south into the Black Sea, the Danube is the soul of Central Europe. Once a long-standing frontier of the Roman Empire, the Danube is one of Europe’s most famous waterways.
