Hug Point State Recreation Site is a state park on the northern Oregon Coast in the U.S. state of Oregon. The park is open to the public and is fee-free. Amenities at the park, which is 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Cannon Beach along U.S. Route 101, include picnicking, fishing, and a Pacific Ocean beach.

John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, located near Mitchell, Oregon, encompasses three distinct units: Sheep Rock, Painted Hills, and Clarno. It covers approximately 14,062 acres and showcases a rich fossil record spanning nearly 50 million years of the Cenozoic Era.

Saddle Mountain State Natural Area is a state park in northwest Oregon. It is located in the Northern Oregon Coast Range in central Clatsop County, about 20 miles (32 km) by road from Seaside. It is cherished for its hiking trails, wildflowers and breathtaking scenery.

The Three Sisters Wilderness is a wilderness area in the Cascade Range, within the Willamette and Deschutes National Forests in Oregon. It comprises 286,708 acres (1,160.27 km2), making it the second largest wilderness area in Oregon, after the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Three Sisters were known to the pioneers as Faith (North Sister), Hope (Middle Sister) and Charity (South Sister).

The John Day River is a tributary of the Columbia River, approximately 284 miles (457 km) long, in northeastern Oregon in the United States. The wild and scenic John Day River defines the region known as the John Day River Territory and is a spectacular playground for outdoor lovers of all ages and interests.

The Mt. Hood National Forest encompasses 1.1 million acres in Oregon's Cascades range and foothills, about one-third of it designated wilderness. The Forest offers year-round recreation opportunities and its watersheds provide drinking water to 1 million people in the greater Portland area.

The Historic Seaside Promenade (known as the Prom) is one and a half miles long, stretching from Avenue U (on the south end of town) to 12th Avenue (on the north end of town), and of course it borders along the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. Taking a stroll along the Prom is an absolute must whether you’re just passing through Seaside, or staying for a few days to enjoy all Seaside has to offer.
