North Pole is a small city located in the Fairbanks North Star Borough of Alaska. Despite its name, North Pole is not actually located at the geographic North Pole, but rather in interior Alaska, approximately 1,700 miles south of the North Pole.
North Pole is known for its Christmas-themed attractions, including the Santa Claus House, which is a popular tourist destination. The Santa Claus House is a large gift shop that is open year-round and features a 42-foot-tall statue of Santa Claus, as well as a reindeer petting area, a bakery, and a Christmas-themed post office where visitors can send letters with a North Pole postmark.

In addition to the Santa Claus House, North Pole also hosts an annual Christmas in Ice festival, which features ice-carving competitions, light displays, and other holiday-themed events.

Despite its focus on Christmas, North Pole is also a functional city with schools, businesses, and a small airport. Outdoor recreation is popular in the area, with opportunities for hiking, fishing, and winter sports such as cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

Overall, North Pole is a unique and charming city that celebrates the holiday season in a big way, making it a fun destination for families and anyone who loves Christmas.
