Newberry Springs is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the Mojave Desert in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is situated along Interstate 15, approximately 20 miles east of Barstow and 65 miles north of San Bernardino.
The area was named after John S. Newberry, a renowned geologist who explored the area in the 19th century. Today, Newberry Springs is primarily known for its hot springs and its location along Route 66.

The community has a small population of approximately 2,000 people and is known for its rural character and natural beauty. The surrounding area is home to many outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking, camping, and off-road vehicle use.

Newberry Springs is also home to the Bagdad Cafe, a famous restaurant and landmark that gained international fame after it was featured in the 1987 movie of the same name.
