Mussel Rock Dunes is another nature preserve located in Guadalupe, California. It covers an area of approximately 60 acres and features a diverse range of plant and animal species, including several rare and endangered plants.
The dunes at Mussel Rock are primarily made up of sand that has been eroded from nearby cliffs and deposited by ocean currents. The preserve is home to several species of wildlife, including the western snowy plover, California red-legged frog, and several species of reptiles and mammals.

Visitors can explore the dunes by hiking and wildlife viewing. The preserve also includes a beach where visitors can swim and surf. Mussel Rock Dunes is managed by the California State Parks system and is open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset. Visitors are asked to stay on designated trails to protect the fragile dune ecosystem. There is a small parking lot available for visitors.
