Monrovia is a city located in Los Angeles County, California, in the United States. It is situated in the San Gabriel Valley region and has a population of approximately 38,000 people. Monrovia is known for its historic Old Town district, which features a variety of shops, restaurants, and historic buildings.

In 2016, the City opened over 4.5 miles of Hillside Wilderness Preserve trails providing passive recreational opportunities for the Community. There are four access points to the Hillside Wilderness Preserve that are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday - Sunday:

Santa Anita Dam is a concrete thin arch dam on Santa Anita Creek in the San Gabriel Mountains of Los Angeles County, California. The dam is 225 feet (69 m) high and 612 feet (187 m) long, holding 858 acre-feet (1,058,000 m3) of water with a maximum capacity of 1,028 acreâ‹…ft (1,268,000 m3).

Hermit Falls is a popular hiking destination located in the San Gabriel Mountains near Monrovia, California. The falls are located within the Angeles National Forest and can be accessed via a moderate 2.6-mile hike that begins at the Chantry Flat Recreation Area. The trail winds through the beautiful forested mountainside and follows a seasonal creek that eventually leads to the picturesque Hermit Falls.
