Mission Beach Park, located in San Diego, is a popular destination known for its lively atmosphere, sandy beaches, and amusement park, Belmont Park. It's part of the larger Mission Bay Park which is the largest aquatic park of its kind in the country. It consists of over 4,235 acres in roughly equal parts land and water.

Mission Point is located at the south end of Mission Boulevard, at 2600 Bayside Lane. There is a comfort station with showers, a tot lot playground, picnic tables, park benches, fire rings and a path for jogging or bike riding. There is access to the water for swimming, although there is no lifeguard on duty.

Point Medanos Jetty is a well-known coastal feature located at the entrance channel of San Diego Bay, near South Mission Beach, San Diego, California. It is a narrow rocky jetty extending into the Pacific Ocean, serving as a breakwater and a popular spot for fishing, walking, and enjoying ocean views

South Mission Beach is located at the southern end of the Golden Strand, which runs from Pacific Beach Point to the Mission Bay channel. Perhaps the widest beach in the city, it is a popular place for sports such as beach volleyball and basketball.

Mission Beach is San Diego’s lively take on the classic boardwalk beach town with nearly two miles of oceanfront boardwalk, numerous rental shops and Belmont Park, a boardwalk amusement park, featuring the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, originally built in 1925 but since restored, the Beach House Grill, miniature golf, bumper cars, rock climbing and an arcade.
