| The minaret was built in 1127 by the Karakhanid ruler Arslan Khan, and it stands at a height of 45.6 meters (149.6 feet). It is made of baked bricks and is covered with intricate blue tilework, which features intricate geometric patterns and Arabic calligraphy. One of the most impressive features of the Kalyan Minaret is its spiral staircase, which consists of 105 steps that wind around the outside of the tower.
