Esparto is a small town located in Yolo County, California. It is situated in the Capay Valley, approximately 20 miles northwest of Woodland and about 30 miles northwest of Sacramento. Like many areas in Yolo County, Esparto has a strong agricultural presence. The town is surrounded by farmland, including orchards, vineyards, and other agricultural operations. The population was 3,108 at the 2010 census.
