| Gregg County Historical Museum is now home to a very rich history for the Longview community to experience. The largest exhibits are the Buddy Calvin Jones Caddo collection and the Arthur Northcutt Brown Military collection. | |
| A Gregg County native, Jones Collected from childhood and later became an archeologist for the State of Florida, where he won international acclaim for locating several Spanish missions and the de Soto campsite in Tallahassee. Also a Gregg County native, Brown served in Germany, Vietnam, worked as a TAC officer in Virginia and was an instructor at the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff School course in Longview, Texas.
