Faulkner County is home to the University of Central Arkansas, Hendrix College, and Central Baptist College.
Lake Conway, a large man-made lake, lies in the southern part of Faulkner County. Much of the county consists of rolling hills and river valleys, but flat prairie lands can be found in the northern part.
