The Meco Archaeological Site is an ancient Mayan settlement located in the state of Yucatan in Mexico. It is believed to have been occupied from around 300 BC to 1200 AD and is considered one of the oldest Mayan sites in the Yucatan Peninsula.
The site consists of several mounds and plazas that were once used for various ceremonial and administrative purposes. One of the most notable features of the Meco Archaeological Site is a large pyramid structure that stands over 30 feet tall and is believed to have been used for religious ceremonies.

In addition to the pyramid, there are also several smaller structures, including residential buildings and a ball court where a popular Mayan game was played. The site also features several intricate carvings and sculptures, many of which are still well-preserved.

Excavations at the Meco Archaeological Site began in the 1970s and have continued intermittently since then. Visitors can explore the site and learn about the history and culture of the Mayan people, as well as see artifacts and structures that date back thousands of years.
