Thap Duong Long Xã Binh An, Gia Lai, Vietnam Last Updated: 10/12/2026 |
| Tháp Dương Long is a complex of three Cham towers situated close together on a high mound in Binh An, Gia Lai, Vietnam. The towers were built in the late 12th century, during the most prosperous period of Cham culture. Duong Long Tower consists of three towers: the central tower is 39 meters high, while the other two are 32 meters high. | |
| The towers are built of brick, with the corners clad in large, carved stones. The scale of the Duong Long tower complex is evident not only in its height (the tallest of the remaining Cham towers in Vietnam) but also in its unique architecture, particularly the motifs carved directly onto the large stones placed on top of the towers. Beside the tower complex, there appears to be a long structure to the south, now just a pile of ruins. The French called these towers the Ivory Towers. The towers were destroyed several times by gold prospectors. Some locals living nearby also took bricks from the towers to build their houses in the past. | |
