Bonaire is a Caribbean island in the Leeward Antilles. A special municipality of the Netherlands, its capital is the port of Kralendijk, located on the west coast. Untouched white sand beaches are surrounded by sparkling turquoise waters, with tropical palm trees swaying gently in the trade breeze. The population was 26,552 in 2025, an increase of 10,011 from 2012.
