Coto De Caza is a census-designated place and guard-gated affluent private community in Orange County, California. Coto de Caza is situated in the southeastern part of Orange County, bordered by the cities of Rancho Santa Margarita, San Juan Capistrano, and Ladera Ranch. It is nestled in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains, providing a picturesque natural setting. The population was 14,799 at the 2017 census.

As a wildlife sanctuary, Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park is home to an abundant number of native plants and animal life. Old groves of Western Sycamores and Coast Live Oaks border the park's two seasonally flowing creeks. The remaining land features rolling hills and canyons of Coastal Sage Scrub and grasslands.
