| The cave is approximately 1,220 feet (370 meters) deep, making it one of the deepest vertical pits in the world. It has a diameter of about 160 feet (49 meters) at the top, and it widens to around 330 feet (100 meters) at the bottom. The cave is famous among adventurers and BASE jumpers who leap off its edge and glide to the bottom with parachutes. The cave is accessible by a dirt road, and visitors can witness the incredible sight of thousands of birds taking flight from the cave in the early morning hours during their breeding season, which typically occurs between March and August.
