Willow Creek (formerly China Flat) is a census-designated place in Humboldt County, California. The population was 1,720 at the 2020 census, up from 1,710 at the 2010 census. The town is located around 30 miles (48 km) from county seat and harbor city Eureka. The dense forests provide exceptional wildlife viewing of elk, deer, river otters, black bears, mink, bald eagles and peregrine falcons.
Trinity River Farm is located in the mountains of Northern California along the Trinity River, in the small town of Willow Creek. It is a family-run business and the passion is growing great tasting fruits and vegetables. The roadside store is open from April 1st until the end of October. Along with the fruits and vegetables, it sells nursery and bedding plants as well as many local jams, jellies and sauces.
Founded in 1988, the Willow Creek China Flat Museum preserves the local history and shares it with current and future generations. The museum is well known for its Bigfoot collection.
