The Angel Oak is an exceptionally large Southern living oak located in Angel Oak Park on Johns Island near Charleston, South Carolina. The tree is estimated to be 400-500 years old. It stands 20 meters tall, has a trunk circumference of 8.5 meters, and provides shade over an area of 17,200 square meters. Its longest branch measures 57 meters.
Morris Island is an uninhabited 840-acre (3.4 km²) island located in Charleston Bay in South Carolina, accessible only by boat. The island belongs to the cities of Charleston and Folly Beach, in Charleston County. The Morris Island Lighthouse is one of Charleston's most beloved landmarks. Its 161-foot (approximately 43 m) tall tower is famous as the tallest lighthouse in South Carolina.
