Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery, located in Redwood Valley, California, is a Theravāda Buddhist monastery founded in 1995. It was established by followers of Ajahn Chah and is the first of its kind in the U.S. The name "Abhayagiri," meaning "Fearless Mountain" in Pāli, reflects its dedication to the Theravāda tradition.
