Essex County is a county in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Massachusetts. At the 2020 census, the total population was 809,829,[1] making it the third-most populous county in the state. The largest city in Essex County is Lynn. The county was named after the English county of Essex. It has two traditional county seats: Salem and Lawrence.
The Witch House, was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin and is the only structure still standing in Salem, Massachusetts. It had direct ties to the Salem witch trials of 1692.
The Salem Maritime National Historic Site is a National Historic Site consisting of 12 historic structures, 1 replica tall-ship. It also has about 9 acres of land along the waterfront of Salem Harbor in Salem, Massachusetts.
