Pulpit Rock, also known as Preikestolen, is a popular tourist attraction located near the village of Songesand in Rogaland County, Norway. It lies on the west coast of Norway, overlooking Lysefjord. The rock formation is part of the Ryfylke scenic area and is approximately 25 km northeast of Stavanger. Pulpit Rock is renowned for its natural beauty and the unique experiences it offers visitors.
Pulpit Rock is a massive rock formation rising approximately 604 meters (1982 feet) above sea level in Lysefjord. The cliff features a flat, almost square plateau measuring approximately 25 x 25 meters (82 x 82 feet).

The climb to Pulpit Rock is one of the most popular hiking trails in Norway. The trail starts from the Preikestolhytta mountain lodge and takes between 2 and 4 hours to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level. The climb offers stunning views of the surrounding fjords, mountains, and lakes.
