| The Potawatomi Zoo is a 23-acre (9.3 ha) zoological park located in South Bend, Indiana. The zoo is nestled in Potawatomi Park in the east side neighborhood of River Park. Founded in 1921, it is one of Indiana's oldest zoos. | |
| The Zoo houses nearly 400 animals–over 135 species–on 23 acres. Of these species, around 60 are part of Species Survival Plans and around 50 also serve as Ambassador Animals for our Education department. We’re proud of our animals and all the people who care for them at the Zoo. | |
