| Muhu is an island in the West Estonian archipelago in the Baltic Sea. With an area of 198 km² (76 sq mi), it is Estonia's third largest island after Saaremaa and Hiiumaa. Together with the smaller islands of Kesselaid, Viirelaid, Võilaid, and Suurlaid, it forms the parish of Muhu, a rural municipality in the Saare county. The municipality had a population of 2,118 as of October 1, 2025. | |
| There is much to discover on this island and learn about its way of life. Distances between locations are not far, so getting around by bike, boat, or even horseback is easy. Muhu is diverse and, in many ways, even somewhat exotic – especially the northern regions. However, the island's rural atmosphere and scenery offer moments of relaxation and peaceful retreats where you can fully enjoy life. | |
