The Banjska Monastery is a significant Serbian Orthodox monastery located near Zvečan in northern Kosovo. It was founded in the early 14th century by King Stefan Uroš II Milutin of Serbia as his mausoleum and is dedicated to St. Stephen. The monastery is a prime example of medieval Serbian architecture, blending elements of the Raška school and Byzantine influences.
- The monastery was constructed between 1313 and 1317 during the reign of King Milutin. Initially intended as a royal burial church, King Milutin was buried there in 1321, although his remains were later moved to other locations.

- The monastery has historically served as a spiritual center for the Serbian Orthodox Church. It has faced periods of abandonment and destruction, particularly during Ottoman rule and conflicts in the region.
